SCOTLAND'S SHAME – LIVE ON THE BBC
By Trialist
How proud Rangers Football Club must be after “Scotland's Shame” last night shamed itself even more – live on the BBC.
During a TV broadcast from Florence last night, prior to the Huns strangling of Fiorentina to reach the UEFA Cup Final via a penalty shootout, BBC Reporting Scotland was befouled by Huns fans singing their despicable and racist song about the Irish Famine.
Needless to say, we can anticipate widespread condemnation from the Scottish media and a sincere apology from Rangers Football Club after this racist obscenity was broadcast into millions of homes on Thursday evening.
But can you imagine, dear reader, the furore there would be if the Huns' song was about another human tragedy, such as the Holocaust and Jews going home?
Those that have complained to ‘Show Racism The Red Card' about the Huns' latest shame have received the following standard letter:
“Dear
Many thanks for your email highlighting the racist chants at recent Rangers FC matches. We have received numerous emails on this matter and believe that more will hit our Inbox.
Show Racism the Red Card is of the opinion that certain sections of the Rangers support were acting in a racist nature. We condemn all forms racism.
We are currently in talks with Rangers Football Club and Rangers Supporters Trust to address this issue.
We are also pursuing the matter with the Scottish Premier League and the Scottish Football Association. We will keep you informed of our progress.
With your support we will continue to challenge all forms of racism in Scotland and I call upon you to continue reporting racist incidents to Show Racism the Red Card.
Thanking you for your support.
Show Racism the Red Card”
