THE UNSEEN FENIAN HAND

By Mal Content

As Celtic fans, we will probably never know precisely what happened during ‘Cheating-gate' as the Huns lobbied the SPL intensively for the League season to be extended – for a second time.

And let's never forget that the Huns had already been favoured by an extension to the SPL season, the final matches of the campaign being moved from Sunday 18th May to Thursday 22nd May upon their qualification for the UEFA Cup Final.

And let's also never forget that the Chairman, aided and abetted by his Rangers-minded SFA henchmen Peat and Smith and his Laptop Loyalists (specifically Jackson and Traynor), did NOT only want this Saturday's League match against Dundee United at Ipox postponed to assist the Huns' UEFA Cup ambitions. He ALSO wanted the League season extended to help the Huns win the League.

That is cheating – plain and simple – and thankfully, for the credibility, honesty and integrity of the SPL – the Chairman and his lickspittles failed in their attempts to cheat. Ian Blair and Lex Gold of the SPL rejected the establishment's intensive campaign for a second extension to the League season, which would have been for solely the Huns' benefit and to the financial and footballing detriment of other clubs.

As I said, we will probably never know precisely what happened during the days of Friday 3rd May, when Murray began his cheating campaign, to Tuesday 6th May, when the SPL rejected the Cheats' charter. Unless of course Celtic Chief Executive publishes his memoirs and details his part, if any, in successfully thwarting the Chairman's duplicitous agenda. And if these memoirs are to be published, sign me up for an advanced copy. Perhaps Lawwell's autobiography could be entitled ‘The Unseen Fenian Hand' (copyright: Kerrydale Street), as Celtic's Chief Executive has apparently manoeuvred like a silent assassin to kill off our enemies' nefarious plans.

However, several individuals and three organisations have been sullied and tainted by the Huns' deployment of the unholy trinity of collusion, corruption and cheating.

The Huns, obviously, as Rangers FC, “Scotland's second most important institution”, has once again revealed its true fine colours. And the colours of cheating, conniving, corrupt, deceitful and duplicitous b*st*rds who would resort to anything, however foul, to win, are red, white and blue. “Sporting integrity”? The tarnished Chairman and his despicable club would not know the meaning of the phrase.

The Daily Record has been exposed for all to witness as Rangers' in-house tabloid, as it has published the twisted gospel according to the Chairman, while Keith Jackson and James Traynor (and others in the Laptop Loyal) are even more discredited, even more revealed to be in Murray's pocket.

Remember Jackson's and Traynor's part in this web of deceit the next time you read these Chairman-controlled puppets in the Press or hear these Murray-manipulated muppets on the radio. Jackson and Traynor are to journalistic accuracy, ethics, honesty, impartiality and truth what Robert Mugabe is to democracy.

SFA president George Peat and SFA chief executive Gordon Smith's positions at the SFA are untenable after the disclosure of their collusion with the Chairman. It has been revealed that the SFA offered to rearrange the date of Scottish Cup Final without the knowledge or consent of Queen Of The South and to the financial and footballing disadvantage of the minnows. Peat and Smith should be hunted from office after prostituting the Scottish Cup Final like a ten-dollar whore.

As you read this, dear reader, the Chairman and his SFA lickspittles and Laptop Loyal toadies are licking their wounds of defeat, while ranting and raving in the media, threatening retribution, boycotts and recriminations and demanding heads roll.

And of course the Huns' “GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY” (copyright: the vented spleen of the dangerously out of control James Traynor) man is none other than the SPL's Lex Gold, because he did not prostrate himself in front of the Chairman.

However, ask yourself, dear reader, what has changed since the SPL kowtowed to Murray's original manipulation (or cheating) and announced two possible fixture lists for the League run-in?

Firstly, the Huns have qualified for the UEFA Cup Final against Zenit St Petersburg thereby activating the SPL's alternative plan for the final round of SPL fixtures to be played on Thursday 22nd May and not Sunday 18th May, as was originally scheduled. Thousands of football fans have already been inconvenienced and have been financially damaged as a consequence of the Huns' cheating. Why should we be pick-pocketed again? And why should the League season be extended again for the benefit of one club, Rangers, but to the detriment of others?

Secondly, the Huns' Championship challenge has faltered – the Hoops have humped the Huns twice (2-1 and 3-2 at Celtic Park) and the Huns have drawn 0-0 with Hibs at Easter Road. The Huns, with five League matches remaining in a congested fixture list of their own making, remain favourites to win the League. But Celtic, who are seven points ahead of the Huns and who have two League matches remaining, are now intensely pressurising the Huns. The Huns must win ALL FIVE of their League fixtures if we win our final two games (against Hibs at Celtic Park and against Dundee United at Tannadice) if they are to surpass our points tally.

Thirdly, the Phil O'Donnell tribute match has been arranged, but could have been jeopardised if the Huns, the SFA and the Laptop Loyal had successfully colluded and cheated to extend the SPL season again.

Fourthly, the battle for third place in the SPL and with it the UEFA Cup qualification spot is now between four teams – Motherwell, Dundee United, Hibs and Aberdeen. This quartet will all have their own views on the Huns' attempts at cheating to extend the League season, as this would have impacted on their aspirations. In particular, Dundee United would have been hampered by any fixture rescheduling for the benefit of the Huns. But the Arabs chairman Eddie Thomson has already expressed his opposition to the original SPL tampering and has now repeated his stance: get on with it, as per the scheduling announced on the 22nd April.

Fifthly, Arsenal have finished third in the English Premiership, which means automatic qualification for the Champions League for the SPL Champions – and with it the guaranteed £10million bounty.

Sixthly, the Players Union has confirmed it is considering legal action on behalf of SPL players who have lost money because of the extension of the SPL from the 18th May to the 22nd May. The Players Union are considering seeking compensation from the SPL for players who have lost out on holidays and other financial commitments because the SPL extended the League season to benefit the Huns. Had the League season been extended a second time, the case for the prosecution would have become undeniable.

And finally, Queen Of The South manager Gordon Chisholm has insisted his club would have resisted any moves to change the date of the Scottish Cup Final between Queen Of The South and the Huns, which is scheduled for Saturday 24th May. The Huns, in collusion with the SFA and the Laptop Loyal, bartered the date of the Scottish Cup Final to try to extend the SPL season and corruptly assist the Huns domestic and European ambitions. But Gordon Chisholm said: “It's the one game that's got to stay.”

Unanimously, Celtic fans said ‘NO' to the cheating, collusion and corruption of extending the League season for solely the Huns' benefit.
If the Huns' collusion, corruption and cheating had succeeded, the game would have been quite literally a bogey. It would have killed Scottish football, as the SPL's and the SFA's credibility, honesty and integrity could never again have been trusted. The repercussions would have made Farry-gate seem trivial.

We Shall Not Be Moved – not a minute, an hour, a day or a week – but now that we have won a decisive victory off the field, we must now translate our triumph to two League victories on the field.

Let's see if the Huns' bottle is as damaged as their dignity.
