CELTIC IN CRISIS - AIDEN McGEADY'S VALUE PLUMMETS

By Trialist

Aiden McGeady's value has plummeted from £12million to £8million in a week - if you are daft enough to believe the latest flyer from the Daily Mirror.

Last week, the Daily Mirror linked Aiden McGeady with Newcastle United, claiming Kevin Keegan was “ready to splash the cash” for the “£12million-rated” 22-year old Celt.

But today, the Daily Mirror speculates that Spurs boss Juande Ramos “is ready to step up his interest in the versatile £8million winger”, Aiden McGeady.

Is there a major Celtic game imminent?

£8million? £12million? Yer having a giraffe. £15million plus Berbatov – and that's our final demand.

Aiden McGeady has repeatedly been the subject of Laptop Loyal speculation and all because of his throwaway line: “I would like to have a crack at the Premier League when the time is right.”

Aiden has also said he'd like to play in Spain's La Liga in the future.

Late last week Aiden McGeady's agent totally dismissed the Laptop Loyal mischief-making, David Holbrook insisting it's “just paper talk” and that the Irishman is “happy at Celtic”.

David Holbrook said: “As far as I am concerned the speculation about Aiden is just paper talk. I haven't spoken to any club regarding Aiden and he is happy at Celtic.”

David Holbrook added: “He has enjoyed a fantastic season and he is focusing on the last few games of the season as he aims to try and help Celtic retain the SPL title.”

Aiden McGeady is contracted to Celtic until the summer of 2011.
