BARCA BHOY TO ARRIVE THIS WEEKEND?

By Trialist

Whilst the rest of the world awaits the start of the EPO-assisted Olympic games in Beijing, Timdom is awaiting definite news about the arrival of 20-year old Barcelona midfielder Marc Crosas at Celtic.

And Keep The Faith has been informed by a frequently drunk and incoherent source that Marc Crosas expects to be in Paradise at the weekend, probably Saturday, to undergo his medical and finalise his transfer from the Nou Camp to Paradise.

Ross Hall watchers, be on alert.

Our source is often as reliable as the SFA's George Peat and Gordon Smith are to make an arse of things, though he's also often as reliable as a British Olympic boxer trying to make his weight.

However, tonight the former professional football player with links to Celtic and the media has told Keep The Faith that Marc Crosas expects to become a Bhoy this weekend.

He has further informed us that Celtic's Chief Executive Peter Lawwell has been in dialogue with Marc Crosas' agent, Angell Castell, since Barcelona and Celtic agreed the transfer fee.

Of course, Barcelona announced on Tuesday night (as the Huns were being humiliated out of the Champions League and Europe, lest you have forgotten) that Celtic and Barcelona had reached an agreement on the transfer of Marc Crosas.

Barcelona revealed that Celtic will pay 500,000 euros up front, with a further 900,000 euros depending on “variables”.

Barcelona will be able to repurchase Marc Crosas at the end of the 2009/10 season for 2million euros.

Should the Catalan club not exercise this right and should Celtic sell Marc Crosas in the future, the Blaugrana would be entitled to 25% of the sale.

Who knows, perhaps our Barca Bhoy could be paraded in Paradise on Sunday as Celtic begin the quest for four League Championships in a row when we host St Mirren at Celtic Park in our opening SPL match?
